A gruesome accident maimed a worker’s foot at a Leesburg, Fla., citrus processing plant Friday morning, authorities said. The accident occurred at Cutrale Citrus Juices USA, rescue personnel said, and the worker was taken to an Orlando hospital.

The worker was taken by helicopter to Orlando Regional Medical Center, authorities said. The worker’s foot was amputated at the hospital, medical personnel said.
