A 61-year-old man was killed Tuesday evening as he attempted to cross Carter Street in the Parramore neighborhood of Orlando, Fla., authorities said. The man, who uses a cane, was crossing the two-lane, one-way road around 7:30 p.m. when he was struck by a vehicle, police said.
The vehicle was driven by a 53-year-old Orlando man, authorities said, and police say he may not have seen the man until it was too late. The 61-year-old man died on the scene, police said.
