One person was killed and five people, including three children, were injured last week in a multi-vehicle accident in Orlando, authorities said. Police said a vehicle suddenly veered into another lane, crashing into another vehicle, causing it to spin onto the opposite side of the roadway. The first vehicle then collided with another vehicle.
Emergency response crews had to use hydraulic rescue tools to extricate the victims from the vehicles. The driver of the first vehicle was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said. The five injured were taken to hospitals for treatment as well, authorities said.
