A Tennessee woman on vacation in Florida was hit by a car and killed early Friday morning as she was walking along the center median. The 29-year-old woman got out of the car and began walking as the driver made a U-turn to pull into a parking lot, authorities said.
The vehicle was in the right lane, police said. Another approaching vehicle moved into the left lane to pass the slow-moving car. The vehicle’s left front bumper hit the woman as she walked in the dark. The woman was pronounced dead on the scene.
