Two Die After Car Collides with School Bus

Two people are dead after their car collided with a schoolbus. The Florida Highway Patrol reports the car ran into the back of a schoolbus filled with kids returning home Tuesday afternoon. The Pontiac four-doorrear-ended the bus and then caught fire.
Elisabeth Brantley, 19, who was driving the car was killedin the collision. 48-year-old Paul Bruchesky who was sitting in the frontpassenger seat of the car was killed when the Pontiac went under the back ofthe bus. Samanth Brantley, 16, was in the back of the car and received non-lifethreatening injuries.
The crash happened at the intersection of Hall Boree Roadand Blanding Boulevard in southern Middleburg. The bus, which was carrying 22students home from the Middleburg Elementary School, was slowing to make a leftturn, when it was rear ended by the car. The students on the bus were all okayexcept for minor injuries. “We were just grateful that none of our childrenwere seriously injured.” Said Middleburg Elementary School Principal BeckyWilkerson.
